If you're anything like us, then you've secretly had dreams about not only fighting off the Nazi invaders during World War II, but also bringing color to a monochromatic landscape. Luckily, EA and Pandemic Studios' The Saboteur lets you live out both of those fantasies at the same time! It's uncommon, I hear.
A cross between Indiana Jones, Mercenaries, GTA, Assassin's Creed and well, a paint by numbers game (?), The Saboteur puts you in the shoes of Sean Devlin, an Irish race resistance fighter in Nazi-occupied France who seeks revenge against the Germans for ... hey, I'm not going to spoil it for you. You're set in a very greyed out, oppressed open-world Paris, France that is in need of some color. You give it just that by defeating the Nazi War Machine and restoring peace and hope to the world.
EA - a publisher that knows all too well the dangers of pushing out new IP in the fall/holiday timeframe - announced today that their action title will ship on December 8th. You know what? Perfect. I can't imagine a better way to spend my Christmas holiday than by liberating 1940's France and sending some Nazi bastards to their graves. And scaling their Eiffel Tower. Because you can do that, you know.
