Rumor: Survey outs Dead Space: Extraction for XBLA

Saddened by the news that Dead Space 2 won't be creeping you out for a good long while? Turn that frown upside down. Kotaku report -- according to an unknown, unverified survey -- that EA may be bringing Dead Space: Extraction, the Nintendo Wii-exclusive on-rails first-person shooter, to Xbox LIVE Arcade as well as PSN. Interesting that they wouldn't choose to go the retail route.

The survey, which, again, hasn't been verified or produced for viewing, apparently indicates that Extraction HD would be a "full HD" port of the Wii title, and that it would have a price of 1,200 Microsoft Points. No release date was mentioned, no were any 360/PS3-exclusive features or enhancements. Personally, I could see EA missing a huge chance if they didn't jump on board Natal at launch with this.

The alleged survey also apparently detailed a new, previously unheard of strategy game called Planet Cracker, in which "players will manage a CEC Mining operation [with the players' goal being to] maximize their daily profit" and "defending their hard-won ore from Space Pirates." Various "in-game rewards" were also mentioned. Kotaku note that this smacks of a Dead Space-version of Fable II's Pub Games title, which let players amass gold before Fable II released, allowing for a leg-up on day one.

These two titles are purportedly being pitched as possible pre-order incentives, able to be unlocked once you've laid down your cash to secure a copy of Dead Space 2 later this year.

There have not been any official comments from either EA, or Visceral Games.
