I don't know why so many websites are getting in tizzy over Microsoft re-confirming Xbox 360's Project Natal for this holiday, but it makes me giggle. Tonight during their CES keynote, CEO Steve Ballmer just reiterated that their new hands-free motion controller slated to "revolutionize" the gaming industry will -- just as they announced back at E3 in June 2009 -- release holiday 2010. Beyond that nothing. Still a vague timeframe. A solid date should arrive, along with a the final product name, at E3.
Leaked information from late last year, information that was semi-debunked by Microsoft, claimed that Natal would be launching in November (5 years to the day since the 360's release), and feature toughly 14 titles. A price point of approximately $50-$80 was also rumored, is likely and jibes with what we've been hearing, but hasn't been confirmed.
