Some new concept assets of Free Radical's Star Wars Battlefront III were posted recently by website SWBF3.de this week, allegedly straight from a former employee. At first glance, some of the images (especially the planet selection screen, used for the "Galactic Conquest" mode) have a certain Mass Effect vibe about them. Like a few of the already discovered material surrounding the game, these new assets are said to be merely concepts, illustrating what various aspects of BFIII would have looked like when completed.
"One of the most complicated concepts for Star Wars Battlefront 3 was the spawn location Select screen, which should illustrate the vertical field of battle (ground <-> space) and that on 12 different planets," reads the description of the above image.
Wrapping up the newest findings is two more animation reels; one from the portfolio of a former Cinematic 3D Animator at the UK studio, who departed in January 2009 shortly after they closed down, and the other from a Senior Technical Animator. Much like the first demo clip we posted about a few weeks ago, the new snippets are very rough, but promising. The one below even features some early voice work; interestingly it depicts the bounty hunter Shara, a character shown in the very first leaked renders last year.
