Earlier this week Halo Legends, the new 7-part anime anthology for Microsoft's flagship franchise, was dated for full Blu-ray/digital distribution release on February 9th, 2010. This weekend we get a glimpse at the film's official box art and three different SKUs (after the jump), as well as the entire schedule for previews being streamed over Halo Waypoint this fall.
Beginning today and lasting for 24 hours, Legends' "The Babysitter" story will be available to watch over Xbox LIVE. After that it's gone, and you'll have to wait until next year to see it again. Continuing each week through the remainder of the year and into January, though, will be limited-time previews of additional Legends episodes, and below is the (tentative) line-up for when they're slated to air. Mark your calendars, but remember that plans can change. We'll update you if they do.
- "The Babysitter" -- 11/07/09
- Making of "The Babysitter" -- 11/14/09
- "The Duel" -- 11/21/09
- Making of "The Duel" -- 11/28/09
- "The Package" Part 1 -- 12/5/09
- Making of "The Package" -- 12/12/09
- "The Package" Part 2 -- 12/19/09
- Making of 'The Package" -- 12/26/09
- "Origins" Part 1 -- 1/2/10
- Making of "Origins" -- 1/9/10
All set to go, then? After the jump you can also find an image of what Halo Legends' single-disc and two-disc DVDs look like, right next to the high-def Blu-ray version. If you're a Halo fanatic, Blu-ray is probably the way to go, since it's packed with super cool extras. The former have been priced at roughly $19.99, while the latter falls in line at $34.99.
