Early this week the self-contained, downloadable music stores for three of Xbox 360's most popular music/rhythm game franchises went live in the Games on Demand channel for all to enjoy. Accessible either over Xbox.com (as always) or through their now handy, separately launching 360 dashboard applications, the Rock Band Music Store, Lips Music Store, and Guitar Hero: VIP Pass are yours to explore and spend Banana Dollars in. But you've probably been doing that for months. Guitar Hero 5, Guitar Hero: World Tour, Band Hero, Lips, Lips: Number One Hits, LEGO Rock Band, and The Beatles: Rock Band are all accounted for.
Not much in the way of "new" functionality when all is said and done here; these are merely re-skinned and spiffied up versions of the respective title's in-game downloadable content areas. Lips' even managed to incorporate your Avatars. And unless you're an avid DLC purchaser, they take up precious Hard Drive space, too. Just like Halo Waypoint, there are zero Achievements to be had, and there's no Avatar Awards, either. Still, in case your curiosity is piqued, we've included a short walkthrough demo of each store, one below and the final two after the jump. Apologies for the semi-shaky-cam feel, as these were done impromptu around 3 a.m. I was tired. Be sure to check out the apps and download them when you can.
