Europe gets the fancy schmancy Death Edition for EA's Dante's Inferno next month, while the U.S. gets a Divine Edition that packs a free code for bonus paid DLC hitting in March called "Dark Forest." In the prequel add-on, our blood-thirsty, bare-chested hero Dante ventures through a mysterious forest, which serves up some additional background information on things that happen in the story. Trouble is, the Divine Edition is exclusive to the PlayStation 3. Bummer. But the content, well, it is not.
Developer Visceral Games confirmed to VG247 this week that Dark Forest will find itself way through hell to land on Xbox LIVE as well. Executive producer Jonathan Knight says that Xbox 360 owners will have to pony up Space Bucks to get access to the new prequel level, though. No pricing or concrete date has been set. More violence. Nifty.
Dante's Inferno drops February 5th.
